Copy Your HTML/CSS and paste into Webflow.
It's that easy.

Stop rebuilding coded designs from scratch. CodetoCanvas.io converts any HTML and CSS into native, fully-editable Webflow elements — directly on your canvas in seconds.

The problem

You have the HTML. Now you have to rebuild it by hand.

A developer hands you a coded prototype. A client sends over their existing site. You pull HTML from a design system. Every time, the process is the same: open the Designer, manually create each div, apply each class, set each style property, one element at a time.

There's a better way.

Three steps

From HTML file to Webflow canvas in under a minute.

Paste your HTML

Copy your markup — any HTML, any structure, any depth. No pre-processing required.

<section class="hero">
  <h1>Hello World</h1>
</section>

Paste your CSS

Drop in your stylesheet. Variables, grids, flexbox, custom classes — paste it all in.

.hero {
  display: grid;
  gap: 32px;
}

Click Import

Your full page structure lands on the canvas with classes applied and elements ready to edit.

✓ 47 elements inserted
✓ 23 styles applied
✓ Breakpoints mapped
What's under the hood

More than a simple paste. A real conversion engine.

Six layers of processing happen between your clipboard and your canvas.

CSS variable resolution

Custom properties like --brand-blue resolve to actual values. No broken var() references on your canvas.

Grid and flexbox

repeat(4, 1fr) expands correctly. display: grid, gap, and align-items all arrive intact.

Responsive breakpoints

@media queries map to Webflow's native breakpoints — Medium, Small, and Tiny.

Tag selector styles

Styles on nav, section, h1, and footer are captured — not just class selectors.

Full nesting support

Complex structures — grids inside sections inside wrappers — import at any depth with hierarchy intact.

HTML attributes

href, src, alt, target, aria-label, and data-* attributes transfer automatically.

Built for real workflows

If you've ever said "I just need to get this into Webflow," this is for you.

01

Developer handoffs

A dev builds a coded prototype. Get it into Webflow without rebuilding every element from scratch.

02

Site migrations

Moving a client's existing HTML site into Webflow. Import the structure, then refine in the Designer.

03

Design systems

Your team has a component library in code. Import components directly instead of recreating them class by class.

04

AI-generated code

Used Claude, Cursor, or v0 to generate a layout? Get it into Webflow without the manual rebuild.

05

Rapid prototyping

Build in code, refine in Webflow. Stop choosing between speed and editability.

Honest about limitations

What comes through, and what needs a quick manual pass.

Comes through automatically
Full HTML element structure and nesting at any depth
Class-based CSS styles (.hero, .btn-primary)
Tag-based CSS styles (nav, h1, footer)
CSS custom properties (--brand, --spacing)
Grid layouts including repeat() definitions
Flexbox layouts and @media breakpoints
HTML attributes (href, src, alt, aria-*)
Direct text content and inline SVGs
Quick manual pass needed
Link URLs — set in Webflow's Settings panel after import
:hover, :focus, and other pseudo-states
@keyframes animations
Background images — structure imports, asset set manually
Complex CSS selectors — descendant combinators like .parent .child
The bottom line: Most pages import at 80–90% fidelity. The remaining 10–20% is a fast manual pass — not a full rebuild.
FAQ

Common questions.

Does this use AI?
No. CodetoCanvas.io is a deterministic converter — it parses your code and maps it to Webflow's API. No language models, no interpretation, no hallucinations.
Will it work with any HTML and CSS?
Yes. Paste HTML and CSS from any source — hand-coded, AI-generated, exported from Figma, or copied from an existing site.
Are the imported elements editable in Webflow?
Yes. Every element lands on your canvas as a real Webflow element with Webflow classes applied. Edit styles, swap text, restructure — just like anything else in your Designer.
Does it work on any Webflow plan?
Designer Extensions require a Webflow paid workspace plan.
Is my HTML or CSS stored anywhere?
No. Everything is processed locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.
